Aluminium Engraving

Aluminium is the go-to material for industrial labelling, asset tags, compliance plates and name badges. Anodised aluminium in particular takes laser engraving exceptionally well, producing sharp, permanent marks without damaging the underlying metal.

Popular uses: Asset tags, name badges, signage, equipment labels, control panels, compliance plates, trophies

Common Questions About Engraving Materials

Yes, and this is our most popular option. Simply bring your item to our Gold Coast workshop or mail it to us. We'll assess the material, confirm it's suitable, and let you know what's possible before we start.

Don't worry. Bring it in or send us a photo and we'll work it out. We test materials regularly and can usually identify what we're working with and whether laser engraving is the right approach within a few minutes.

Absolutely. If you'd like a particular item engraved but don't have one yet, we can source it for you at a small markup on top of the engraving fee. No need to track down a supplier yourself.

Yes. Metals like stainless steel, brass and anodised aluminium give exceptionally clean results. Timbers, acrylics and glass also engrave beautifully. Some materials like certain plastics may need an alternative method, and we'll always let you know if that's the case.

Often, yes. Powder coated metals, lacquered timber and painted aluminium can all be engraved. The laser typically removes the coating to reveal the material beneath, creating good contrast. Results vary by coating type and we're happy to do a test piece first.

Yes. We service customers nationally via Australia Post and courier. Once your items are engraved we'll return them the same way. Local Gold Coast and Brisbane delivery is also available via courier.

Precision Laser Engraving and Personalisation on the Gold Coast

Gold Coast Engraving is a local specialist engraver based on the Gold Coast, offering laser engraving and personalisation services across an enormous range of materials. We service the Gold Coast, Tweed Heads, and Brisbane corridor directly, with nationwide mail-in service available for customers across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and beyond.

Unlike large online print-and-gift companies, we're a hands-on local workshop. You can drop in, talk through your project, and often get a same-day or next-day result for urgent jobs. That's something no national shipping operation can compete with. We're well known for stainless steel engraving, timber personalisation, glass etching and leather engraving on the Gold Coast, but our capability extends well beyond those headline materials.

Our minimum order is just $30 with no minimum quantities, which means we happily handle single items as well as bulk corporate orders. Whether you need one engraved piece or 500 branded name badges, the process is the same. Contact us, confirm the material and artwork, and we'll take care of the rest.
